Error BX-Y67GRO is still ever so kindly popping up every time I try to "edit" anything. I can post and that is about it. This is starting to get irritating as I am trying to add pictures and new pages to this blog to add some more dimension. How am I supposed to make things more readable if Blogger won't let me "edit" anything?
Don't even get me started on Blogger's "help" section. Why isn't there a "contact us" or "tech support" link? Maybe there is, but I can't just find it.Anyway, up until now I haven't had to use the forums, but because of this error I have attempted to circumscribe the inaccessible "help" forums. Not all of the fields are able to be manipulated with Voice Over and thus I can't convey my exact problem, or leave all of the information Blogger requires to fix my problem.
So, perhaps it's not Blogger's fault. Maybe It's a problem with the Mac software. Voice Over works horribly with Facebook, but Facebook also uses obscure and strange programming. Listen to me all techy talking over here. Don't get to excited. This is about as technologically inclined as I get. Give me a living, breathing, heart beating creature any day. Even if it's the worst behaved creature-I can work with that. Objects that aren't supposed to think for themselves, but seem to anyway, freak me out. All of my electronic equipment has behaved strangely at some point or another and I can't seem to fix it on my own. Usually I have to have Mr. K, King of Technology himself, come over and try his hand. He usually does the same thing I have been doing for a half an hour and the damn thing will spring into action, all ready to serve.
This brings about another thought-perhaps it's not Blogger or Voice Over and it's me; more like user error. Really, it could be, but there were people on the forums that said they were getting the same error message. Their errors rectified themselves in a few days though and mine has been like this for about a week. Maybe it's a combination of all three. The forum is slightly inaccessible and, particularly for Voice Over, and since I'm not a Technology Queen I can't think creatively enough to get the information out there that needs to be present in order to get this damn thing fixed...
Did you get all that?

Glacier's Pawtegories
And her face Turns Red,
Disabled Rage,
How do I do This?,
life Technologically Uninclined,
Thank You Good Sir

I am not able to post pictures without Huib's help using JAWS, for some reason even if I hit enter or the space bar on the spot that says add image clickable, it just doesn't do anything. As for editing I usually go into edit posts and then above the post you want to edit you click edit, but maybe it's different for voice over? I'm really considering a Mac or Ipad, but am waiting to see how friends do with voice over since I'm pretty good with JAWS so worried about changing lol! As for having Mr K do things you've already done and it working, the same freaking thing happens when I've spent a long time trying something and then ask Huib to help me out - go figure!! Hope you and the furry ones are doing well. Now that my vision is better I'm really considering the idea again of training my next guide, stay tuned, it will happen by Christmas if I'm doing it :) Since my little girl will be 8 by then.
We'll definitely stayed tuned. :)
Have you tried hitting the "right" mouse button the key pad when you are sitting on the clickable field? Sometmes if you hit it twice in rapid succesion it will select things you otherwise would not have been able to. Now, where is the wonderful button? I can't remember. lol It's somewhere along the right side of the Number Key pad.
All of the edit features work for Voice Over-at least they used. The error code that pops up is definitely a blogger problem. I haven't tried pictures with Voice Over yet, but I'll let you know how it goes. Honestly, when I first started using the Mac I was angry at it a lot, but now it's second nature and there are a lot of things I can do with Voice Over I couldn't with Jaws...and it's cheaper. :)
hugs to you and the fuzzies
I'm not sure how to get the "right mouse button" using JAWS. I tend to not use the funky things like "JAWS cursor" and stuff, but I'm thinking I'm going to need to learn how to do it...
The Jaws Cursor was my friend. lol Sometimes it reads things that the normal Jaws thingy won't. I may have been wrong and it may be the "left" Jaws mouse button, but either way, one of them lets you "click" on things that you otherwise weren't able to. It can be cranky, so you may have to hit it a few times in rapid succession to get it to work. That is the one thing I like about Voice over-it's not as quirky. Like I said, it was a bit of a learning curve trying to learn how to work with the rogram, but it very enjoyable now.
The cool thing is, if you order a Mac, they can put Windows and Jaws on the computer as well and you can run it separately. This can be your fall bck until you figure out how to use Voice Over. Because windows and Jaws aren't designed for the mac, sometimes it can be a pain in the ass, but I used it until I got comfortable with Mac and its software. Ok, I've rambled for no reason. lol
hugs
