Hawk helps me with getting up and down, handing me things and carrying laundry and other things. Oh, and he hands me my bedroom slippers in the morning so I don't have to step on the cold floor in bare feet.
He's a generally helpful fellow to have around...but it would never cross my mind to try to declare him a service dog in order to take him places.
The lady with the dog in a Therapy Dog jacket was really stretching things. When your dog gets certified as a Therapy dog you are told it DOES NOT give you access other than where the dog is working.
Wow, very interesting reading. Didn't these folks learn in elementary school that fakers are no good?!? A few rotten apples always try to spoil it all. Grr and Woof, Sarge, COP
It was a fantastically written post by L^2 and I am so glad she wrote it. Hawk sounds like a very helpful guy...maybe I should start training Glacier to hand me my slippers. :) Sarge: you have no idea. Apparently there's a woman in California running around with a rat on each shoulder claiming they help with a chronic pain disorder she has....really?
